Editors' Foreword | Behind the Review

Alexander Golden • Regis '27

Alexander Golden is the Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief of The Meridian Financial Review, where he directs editorial strategy, design, and production, seeing every issue through from first layout to final print. He created the publication's Theology, Ethics & Trade section, which examines business through a moral lens, from labor practices to what companies owe the people they serve. His favorite class at Regis has been Nicomachean Ethics, where he learned Aristotle's concept that character is built through habit. He leads the publication's New York expansion, adding nine new schools to the roster. He also leads a small group at his local parish and is deeply committed to his faith. As a native Spanish speaker, he teaches bilingual financial literacy in Harlem, incorporating many of the lessons he has learned throughout his time at the Meridian.

Caroline Woram • Kellenberg Memorial '27

As Co-Founder and Co-Editor-in-Chief, Caroline Woram directs outreach and partnerships at The Meridian, expanding the publication from a single school to a network of more than 10. She founded and leads its Health, Nursing & Policy section, and her writing examines where healthcare and finance meet, informed by time spent at Mount Sinai South Nassau seeing nurses' bedside care up close. Grounded in compassion, advocacy, and cura personalis, she works as a paid intern at Ascend Physical Therapy, assisting patients with rehabilitation exercises, and visits nursing home residents through C.R.O.S.S., her school's faith outreach club. Based in Rockville Centre, Long Island, she plays varsity lacrosse at Kellenberg Memorial High School

Jonathan Louis • Regis

Mr. Louis assists with editing at The Meridian. As co-editor-in-chief, he covers topics in finance and policy, including regulation, central banking, and legislation related to both. His responsibilities include reviewing submitted drafts, suggesting revisions, and helping writers with grammar and clarity before publication. He also participates in policy debate at his school and tries to apply that experience when giving feedback. Outside of school, he enjoys reading about current events.
